University Of Georgia - Animal Science Complex
Georgia Board of Regents
Athens, Georgia
KHAFRA prepared design development plans in the civil and structural engineering disciplines for this multi-million dollar facility. This center replaced the existing animal science center with a new arena, animal holding area, abattoir, research laboratory and office, and large animal research facilities for swine, cattle, horses and sheep.
In addition the facility design work, KHAFRA provided consultation and design services for a pretreatment facility to treat the site wastes before discharge into the municipal sewer system.
Erskine Ramsey Hall - Miles College
Fairfield, Alabama
This project involved renovating and remodeling an existing classroom building into a multi-use facility for administrative and faculty offices, a theater, dressing rooms, and study areas. KHAFRA provided architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical services.
Miles College Master Plan and Expansion
Fairfield, Alabama
KHAFRA completed a 10-Year Architectural and Engineering Master Plan for Miles College. The Master Plan incorporated an existing condition survey, a land use plan and a master facilities plan for the college.

Central Chilled Water Plant - University Of Louisville
Louisville, Kentucky
KHAFRA upgraded the existing central water plant at the University of Louisville's Belknap campus. The upgrade included the addition of a 2,100 ton chiller, replacing the existing cooling towers and the addition of a state-of-the art control system.
KHAFRA also:
- Analyzed the plant power distribution system and recommended a new one,

Designed and engineered the electrical power distribution system, and

Produced physical and control drawings of the electrical systems.
Academic Building - Southern Polytechnic State University
Marietta, Georgia
KHAFRA completed construction documents for the new multi-million dollar classroom and laboratory building for SPSU. This new academic facility is approximately 98,500 square feet and four stories in elevation. The building includes classrooms, administrative offices, complete laboratories and related support services. KHAFRA also developed twenty to twenty-five visitor parking spaces and a drop-off entrance between two buildings.

Central Park Elementary School
Birmingham Board Of Education
Birmingham, Alabama
KHAFRA provided engineering design services to develop a new 4.5 million dollar school on the existing site. The new elementary school contains three two-story classroom wings and a single story administrative, media center, gymnasium and cafeteria. KHAFRA developed the new school on the existing site. The existing school continued to operate while the new one was being built.
Woodrow Wilson Elementary School
Birmingham, Alabama
The existing Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, which is part of the Birmingham City School System, was constructed in three phases: 1927, 1946, and 1954. KHAFRA designed a facility with a minimum to replace four on-site portable classrooms. The addition is approximately 5,800 sq. ft. with a mechanical room, electrical room, and telephone/data closet as support spaces. KHAFRA is providing architectural and engineering services.
North Atlanta High School
Atlanta, Georgia
KHAFRA provided civil engineering services for the multi-million dollar renovation of the existing school and the addition of 53,000 sq. ft. The site work consisted of a new loading dock, parking lot and tennis courts with the realignment and redesign of the existing baseball and football fields.
