- Atlanta Detention Center
Atlanta, GA
KHAFRA provided civil site design and construction follow-up services for this award-winning
joint-venture project. The Atlanta City Detention Center is an eight-story building
on approximately five acres located at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Memorial Drive.
- General Services Administration
Federal Office and Courthouse Building
Tuscaloosa, AL
KHAFRA developed design schemes for remodeling the exterior of this existing three
story, 63,000 square foot facility. The project also included investigating the interior functional organization,
mechanical and electrical systems to determine renovations needed to improve
functional efficiency, meet current codes and improve the overall appearance.
After completing this study, KHAFRA received a second contract to execute design drawings
and implement the renovations recommended in the study.
- Tallapoosa County Courthouse
Tallapoosa, GA
KHAFRA was commissioned by the Tallapoosa County Commission to re-design an office-warehouse
facility as a courthouse annex. The interior was completely gutted.
KHAFRA provided architectural, structural,
civil, mechanical and electrical engineering as well as plumbing and landscaping services for this project.
- Chattanooga Police Training Center
Chattanooga, TN
This project involved renovating a building formerly used as a research facility into
a Police Training Center. KHAFRA's services included civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering as
as well as surveillance monitoring and plumbing/HVAC systems. The project was a big challenge to all disciplines.
