With water project experience since the firm’s inception in 1986, KHAFRA maintains an in-house Water Resources Management team well experienced in the area of Water/Wastewater Management.
CHATTAHOOCHEE COMPLEX IMPROVEMENTS

KHAFRA provided process design, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering evaluation for the upgrade and renovation of this 80 MGD facility.
The services included planning and design for a 60 MGD expansion of the raw water intake facility, renovation of the sedimentation basins to a "trac-vac" system, the addition of a 12 MGD clearwell storage, design and construction of a new (4MG) clearwell and a complete upgrade of all electrical and facility remotes and automatic operability.
BARDSTOWN ROAD WATER MAIN EXTENSION
Louisville, KY
KHAFRA was awarded the professional engineering services contract for the design, construction contract administration, and construction inspection for approximately 13,100 linear feet of 30-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe.
The scope of the contract encompassed the design and development of detailed construction plans and specifications for contractor installation of the 30-inch water transmission main improvements.
