As an extension of the Georgia Department of Transportation's Thomaston office, KHAFRA is providing construction engineering and administration services. Primary responsibilities include providing and facilitating material testing, construction inspection, shop drawing review meetings and schedule reviews associated with the construction of assigned roadway and bridge projects.

Over 10 years ago U.S. Filter/KHAFRA joint venture created a management team which has consistently proven its ability to operate the Atlanta-Fulton County Water Resources Commission's North Area Water Treatment plant.
Initially, the joint venture was to provide plant start-up services , including process operation enhancement, operations and maintenance, laboratory testing procedures and methodologies, plant staffing needs, personnel training and record keeping and maintenance.
Since its first year of operation, the team continues to exhibit its abilities through a series of unprecedented successes and numerous awards in operations, safety, and employee/community education.
POND CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
Louisville, KY
One of the largest watersheds in the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) service area is the 88 square-mile Pond Creek Watershed. KHAFRA, in association with Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott and May Engineers, Inc., is the watershed management consultant for this area.
The project encompasses storm drainage and sanitary sewer system related programs. The various management programs include: Capital Projects, Infrastructure Design, Watershed Restoration, Easement Acquisition, County-wide Property Service Connections, Area-wide Inspection Services, Floodplain Management and general Program Management.
